Community Programs

Safety Research - The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety is a not-for-profit organization that funds research projects designed to discover the causes of crashes and develops educational materials for promoting road safety.

Free Car Seat Loans - A limited number of infant, convertible and booster seats are available to members for up to two weeks, free of charge.

Keeping Communities Safe - Each year, the Club recognizes New York communities that identify local traffic safety problems and then work to solve them.

Parents of Teens Workshop - The Club offers Parents of Teens Workshops to PTAs, schools, libraries, religious organizations and youth groups to explain the state's graduated driver licensing (GDL) for teens.

Community Awards - We recognize communities that identify local traffic safety problems and then work to solve them. Learn about past winners. And let us know what your community is doing to promote traffic safety.

For Your Community - We offer safety workshops to community organizations, provide free loans of safety videos, distribute safety literature, organize bicycle rodeos, work with youth groups, provide workshops and driver training to seniors and assist with many school programs.

Safety Campaigns - We partner with local and state transportation and law enforcement agencies to disseminate information on themes such as the danger of driving drunk, and stress seasonal themes for motorists, bicyclist and pedestrian safety.
