Community Awards

The AAA Community Traffic Safety Awards Program (CTSAP) is a nationwide awards and recognition program for communities of all sizes that actively engage in enforcement, education and engineering efforts to improve traffic safety. To view this year's winners, click here.

Each spring, the Club's Safety unit mails applications to more than 100 local cities, counties, towns and villages asking officials to describe their traffic safety activities of the previous year. Activities include pedestrian, bicycle, school bus and senior safety education programs as well as traffic engineering, DWI and seatbelt enforcement efforts. Communities are rated as Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze award winners based on their application responses and documented program effectiveness. The awards are presented at a luncheon held each fall.

If your community is interested in participating, please contact Christopher McBride at 516/873-2299 or cmcbride@aaany.com for more information.
